Notice the little groove on the spacer. That groove goes against the inner ring of the bearing

So the flat part of the spacer goes outside the bar, like this

The included screws go through the bearings, like this

Default Ball Bearing Ackermann Bar

Assembled

The amount of play is now minimal and should stay consistently that way. Stock, most GTs get more and more play in the front end as you run them. So this seems to be a great solution for slop problems.

Default Gear Conversion

Before installing your conversion kit, you want to install the optional Pinion/Ring (43/13 straight cut).
One thing to be careful with is the backlash shims. I put one on each side. The center position seems to be the best one. Guys who run the new bulkheads seem not to put backlash shims at all. I don't know, I am still using the old bulkheads. Bottom line is that you want to make sure that your gearmesh in there is good, and that the diff housing/ring are not moving left and right more than a hair (ok maybe 2 hairs).

Here is a photo of what comes in the kit

All the items, original parts and RCShox parts combined

First you put the lower part of the transmission mount on chassis, with the 3mm spacers under, like this:

Then you install the top, like this

Hey guys, can you tell me of a good alternative for set up station for the GT8 other than Hudy? I realize Hudy is probably the best one out there, but right now, they are made of unobtainium as far as I am concerned. Looking for one that includes Toe and droop blocks and gauge for our cars.

Unsure of Integy quality and quite frankly...their website is confusing and rather vague, so I wouldn't know which one to even get.

Also have heard about TeamMagic...but where and how much?

Thanks fellas.

I have one made by Team C that I've been using for a few years now. I purchased it from my LHS. Hopefully Marcus or one of the other Team C dudes can get you a place to buy one.

Last thing I forgot to mention, you gotta make a small round groove in the post that holds the tank so the clutchbell first gear pinion doesn't rub against it.

TeamC domination at the first annual brownsville brawl! Car was awesome, set TQ each round and during the second round was.009 from running 19 laps. During the main i was the only car in the 15's! had a mishap into a barrier and knocked something loose slowing me down and then the computer crashed so i ended up taking home 2nd place, at least a had a little bit of good luck this time My 8yr old TQd sportsman class and took home the win, i was a proud daddy yesterday, the boy was on fire! I told him if he won i would get him a TeamC

Shout out to Paolo for the TOP deal, engine has been rock solid, i barely ever touch it!! It has over a gallon on it and you still cannot spin it over, super tight!
