Whats the best position for the weight if I want it in a neutral position and not to influence steering?
I find the car to be much better without it, but at the same time, I'm exactly 25g underweight (roar 1650).
Should I add weight other places? Or try to find the most neutral place for the sliding weight? I do like that the sliding weight is at the lowest point in the car though

I had the ackerman in the stock position, then changed to the front position, Just flip the stock insert and its much better feel

What are most guys running in the front diff?
I've used 500k, 300k, 200k and 150k, 150k is where I found it to feel best, with 80k in the rear.

200K front 60K rear almost always with 4-gears.

200k and 50k with 4 gears for me.

1million hudy oil front 2 gear
80 thousand 2 gear rear is where i always start every track.

Keep in mind the amount of oil you put into the diff will also effect the strength of the diff.

This is only my personal findings
Weight to the front more rear grip and weight to the rear more steering.

people could have different opinions. i have found the above has the biggest affect due to the weight transfer.

Can the flyweights without the 2 holes be used on the 747 clutch?
I did a side by side comparison, and the only difference is the extra hole.
I know they are for the older clutch and with the new clutch being reverse kind, the flyweights can only be installed leading the pins. I always use them leading anyway, if I wanted to put them trailing the taper part would b wrong.
I don't see why I wouldn't be able to use them, but can I get some opinions?

Default carbon shock bracket

When using carbon shock bracket do you use the longer shock ends that is included In the kit if using the stock shocks? Okay i see the you need to use the longer shock shaft rod ends. What about the spacer on the lower end of the shock do you continue to use it or is it removed?

Yes you can use them. Pins leading just gives a slightly softer engagement.

No not quite. The set screws make it even heavier than no hole shoes. Therefore the no hole shoe is in between 2 holes and set screw.

What possible effect would it make to have enlarged holes in the flyweights? I found my weights' holes getting larger rather quickly. I was wondering if it's because the holes are just a too tight fit to the flywheel pins. I feel it's pretty tight when I insert a new set of flyweights in 747, which I don't have problem with in 977.

To be honest I don't find the same issue with my clutches in that the flyweights stay fairly well fitting on the pins. If the weights get too loose on the pins and are able to wobble then it can cause the shoe to not fly out straight. This will ultimately cause erratic clutch engagement.

Will cause uneven clutch engagement. You can hear the sound like bogging.
