I must say the last 2x cars i have built have been the 411TE and the 747.

All i can say is that Serpent have turned around the quality of there kits 100%.
all the things fit together perfect plastics better quality metals lighter and fit perfect.

After building both new cars from serpent all i can say is i know i have one of the number 1 quality kits on the market in both classes.

well done serpent i look forward to breaking this baby in over the next week.

The measurements for the xceed lipo look like they will fit (28mm wide) so I will probably just get a couple of these.

Simon
I always used an Orion 1100 ni-mah pack on the 733 without belt rubbing.

Default diff problem

747 Diffential tech-tip; prevent leaking diffs

When assembling the differential of the 747, it may occur, when you fill up the diff with oil, some oil enters the holes for the screws that hold the differential together. As a consequence you may have a problem, because you cannot tighten the screws enough due to “hydraulic lock” and the diff will leak oil.
We recommend to drill the 4 holes with a 2.0mm drill all the way through according to the pictures, so the oil can escape from the holes if needed. ( make sure to work safely and wear protection as needed ).

In general make sure not to overfill the diff. When there is too much oil in the diff, the chances that it starts leaking are big, as you cannot tighten the screws as far as needed, or even bend the diff-case.
