Hey Serpent Dan, and everyone else with a 747.

I'm ready to get the 747 but wanted to know what is a good fitting
Life battery preferably Protek for the car? Same Question for those with the 977 viper?

Thanks in advance!

I'm new to 747 too. At least I know Reedy pack fits perferct.
I didn't know I was supposed to use LiFe when I bought this car. Later my friend told me I need to because NiMh would not fit. But I made it work NiMh is a bit wider than LiFe but you tape it as to the middle as possible on the battery holder and you will have 3mm clearance from the side belt. LOL

Side belt seems to rub against manifold? I has already worn down the words on the belt but belt itself seems fine. How do I avoid this friction?

I guess you've already tried to tighten the belt tensioner slightly? What engine/manifold combo are you using? I have run Picco, Xceed and Novarossi engines in my 747 an never had an issue with the belt rubbing on the manifold unless the tensioner was fully up. HTH.

Thanks, how do you like the 747 overall. Is it really fast out the box or do you have to invest considerable set up time to make it go?

Mount the side belt tensioner beneath the radio tray. This will alllow more adjustment to push the side belt downwards and away from the manifold.

Was there ever an update to the 747 kit, such as the low cg shock towers and the shocks from the electric car, or is the car unchanged from its original release in 2012 and these parts represent optional hop ups?

At present the short shocks and towers are optionals.

Not sure on the Life packs. I'm using an Xceed li-po pack at the moment. Very light weight fits great.

Which one? and do you use a regulator with it? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to set the car up nicely.

Hi, Do I need to have the carbon bumper plate to be able to use the foam bumper ? or the plastic one that comes with the kit can fit the foam bumper as well?

Thanks.

No, If you want to run a foam bumper I would run the plastic top bumper not the carbon. I would also get the wide front foam bumper rather than the stock. Look at the manual for the 733 it will Illustrate what parts are needed.

Pass you soon...

Default Diff Oil

Hey guys,

I'm a little confused, I'm in the process of building my 747. Do I use the 300000 diff oil on the front and rear?
