Why not screw the transponder into the bottom of the tank like it was designed for?

Because the tank are lowered on the 747, and there is not enough clearence for the transponder. Donīt think anybody would shim up the tank to fit the transponder under there.

Anyone having problems with not much brakes??
When the servo pulls the brakes it pulls the car around but i can't get great brakes on the track is it just me or is someone else having the same issue?

Check the bushings between the brake pads. Make sure the bushings go thru both brake pads.

My experience whit the brakes on the 747 is that it is not like the 733 brakes. I feel that the 747 brakes have to be warm. The first time you brake under warmup, i nearly don't feel the car brakes at all. But after 1 or 2 more turns where i use the brakes they feels ok. So you have to have that in mind under your warmup. I do not think you can get the 747 brakes to brake so much as the 733, but they brakes enough to what be necessary to drive fast laps.
This is just my opinion and what i have experienced under my testings so far.

Ok. could you take a picture of that and post here. i tried a couple of times, but i couldn't get the radio plate to fit right then. How much clearance do you have down to the chassis from ter transponder ?

i used 1 tab of transponder on fuel tank and put transponder under throttle servo [low profile] fits great and well protected

Your better off without the transponder on the bottom of the tank.
I remove my tank during a race meeting to clean makes it much easier.
Also i have lowered my tank as far as it can go so i can't fit the transponder under the tank either.

Then you add weights to bring the car to 1725grams and there is no way a transponder will fit under there.

I have mine on the back of the steering servo works a treat.

i ran sunday on a tight track with 140' straightaway, that is really for electric and the car was great. first time running 16/21 pinions and had no problems with pinions or spurs. i have now ran at big tracks [ homestead 300' straight ] and small tracks and i love ths car. with the new front geometry the car is easy to drive with a basic setup. i also put throttle servo under radio tray and put transponder on back of steering servo to lower cg.
