yeah like Andy said. It might be an idea to check your drive shafts if your r10 has done a fair bit of running.

Re: Pivot Balls

Hi

Just wondered if anyone knew if the standard pivot balls on the R10 are steel? We weighed one today and it came in at 4 grams each, weighed another one that i knew was titanium and it came up as 3 grams... Does this sound right?

Thanks
Andrew

Yes they are steel, and are 8mm same as Mugen. KM has good Alu pivotballs.

Richard,

You need to clean/lube your driveshaft as often you can...... I do it after every second heat, and do a complete tear down of the car after each day of running.

You can also replace the pin with a longer 12mm pin to reduce the wear.

Thanks Ec1, Did u just use a generic brand 12mm pin? What sort of lube do u use on the driveshafts?

Most brands has replacement 3x12mm pins i use HB/hudy. Associated Black grease works great as lube for the drivshaft. You probably need to replce the hole drive/wheelshaft as its seem to be realy worn. Also check your diffoutdrives as they probably has bumps now and needs to be replaced ore you will get very inconsistent handling.

The middle shaft to be able to use Capricorn/XRAY plastic pulleys are now available from GHEA:

I have tested it and it works great and lowers inertia in the driveline.

Hey KMW, how do u find your R10 with the cap diffs in it? Mine has been tail-y out of corners since I put the cap diffs in.

This is great news, glad to hear about your great result.... Richard is struggling with his car at the moment. He tells me it has been worse since we installed the Capricorn bits, but we also ran at a different track and made some changes and it is just a handful.

The middle shaftholder looks slick. Is it possible to make it fit the NT1 by chance? Are the three holes maybe some wich have the same measure like the NT1 shaft holder?

If so what is the best site to order it for europe?
