Is this now a Hot Cap... Use to have a Cappy-Ray that was fast

Nice work. I have a Hotcap as well. After the build mine was very light. The number below is with a 60g brass battery tray and Capricorn LiFe battery. I add another 40g of tungsten weights to make the car 1625g with body.

Nice Job! Besides the diffs and pulleys can you tell us which other bits you are using?

The other parts that shaved some weight are Ti screws, Ti front CVD shafts, Ti 2-speed holder, Capricorn lightweight uniball kit, Capricorn middle layshaft, Capricorn clutch, Xray rear CVD shafts, and Xray lightweight one-way and 2nd gear carriers.

Is the Capricorn middle layshaft from the C01 or the C02?

Thanks

Thank you, I had to custom make a spacer between the 25t pulley and the layshaft holder... Only down side is you can no longer use the standard receiver position as the plate is now in the way of the side belt.

I see you are also using the Capricorn ball ends, did you need to change the ballends as well or they work with the standard HB ones? I am pretty sure you changed them as they look to be silver rather then black... but just wanted to check.

Thanks in advance

Andrew

www.ghea.se will make a titanium middleshaft/spacer to be able to use xray/capricorn pullies. I raced it this weekend at our Localrace with great resault. Think they will put it in their webshop the following days. // roland

Watch out for the flywheel nut, keep having it come loose slightly on both Richards motors. Wonder if that is the reason the clutchbell play keeps changing or is that a wearing clutchpad...

I'll see if Richard can post a photo soon, but keep en eye on the pins on the driveshafts that sit in the diffs. He has just had to replace the front ones as one side has of the pin has worn flat.

Depending on where you are located Tower Hobbies or A Main are your best bet. We are in Australia and RChobbies in Sydney have parts listed. But we bought multiple kits and this has kept us going for most of the year so far.
