Thumbs up

Hey guys!!

I wanted to say thanks to all who have posted there rides. Very nice. Questions for you guys.

I have the on road bug pretty bad. Why?? Well considering I came from off road. The kits look better, less wear and tear from what I know. Less clean up just all around better imo.

So I'm thinking about getting a 1/10 scale maybe a mugen or?? I love the way the mugen looks is it called a mtx5?? Goofy question i know. But give me a break. I'm new to on road lol. If you guys have any input on this car or any others I'm all ears..

Last thing. The belt driven thing kinda has me worried. How strong are they and how long do they last?? Thanks all and keep them photos coming..

Belts are very much dependent on the pulleys and the tension / maintenance.

they can last months or days depending on the attention to detail. Don't be fooled thinking Alloy pulleys are better, Ive seen more belts worn out by alloy than synthetics.

On Road versus Off Road is a matter of clutch and driving style. Where off road the natural slip of the dirt track gives the transmission a break, on road strains the transmission systems including belts.

I suggest visiting your local onroad track and seeing what others run, it's a great advantage in onroad to share parts and components. The 1/10 scale is a tight design and things will wear and tear. Clutches are most important and two speeds can be marvelous or mischievous. The best practice in onroad for cleaning is cleaning gum, giving you a good opportunity to inspect the car for loose grubs, screws etc and don't be fooled, onroad is a mix of foam and fuel and it's a dirty job as well.

Try and hook up with other drivers as to get access to setup systems, tyre truers and other tools that differ between the classes and enjoy.
