Default what the hell?

I was working on my car and I noticed that I stripped 4 teeth on my 2nd gear spur, even if i would of hit something it should of stripped the 1st gear, because the second gear spur is protected by the chassis, and the first is not, it's just sticking out, without a chassis protectiong it.

I have a centrax clutch and this is a Kyosho V one RR. The stripped teeth are not 4 in a row. 1 stripped, then 1 tooth is there, then 2 stripped, then a couple of teeth down another one is stripped.

What the hell could of happened???

Have you heard of Debris?
it only take a tiny stone, or even a stray nut to damage the gear cogs, and being 2nd gear it is probable it was caught between chassis and gear.
I've had times with my 05 where I've gone to power out of a corner but the car just stops, but when push back it clears and goes again. Just a problem of having parts so low to the ground.

Default CHASSIS

Hi,

I had a v1rr and it did the same thing we soon found out it was the chassis was bent a lil on the motor mounting block thing so when the gears where straight the second gear was tilted a bit wich caused the pinion to crunch the second gear!

So just thought that might help !

Cheers DAVO!

I had a bent and twisted chassis on my 05 after hitting a barrier after a radio glitch at 60mph, had to hammer it straight and run it for another 2 meetings before I could get around to fitting the new one, was still able to win races with it.
