R40 Clutch Problem
Hey guys, I need a quick answer..
I'm having trouble on a brand new R40 with the clutch not engaging. The problem is definetly the clutch, not the drivetrain as the wheels will turn when you turn the spur gear by hand. I start the motor and the clutch does not engage. Everything seems to be assembled correctly, but I'm just not sure how to adjust the centax clutch. The instructions are no help, so I'm turning to you guys.. help!
Thanks guys.

try to put a shim behind the flywheel colet.

I wouldnt put a shim behind the collet that will mess up the front bearing on the motor from rubbing on it. It might be because you need to loosen the nut that tightens down the clutch sping loosen it almost about a half turn and go from there.

I had the same problem, you need to besd sure you have the correct ammount of shims and your going to have to loosen the black spring tentioner thing....i dont know what its called, but im sure you know of that super strong spring in the clutch assembely. just loosen it a little at a time untill it is smooth enough for you. trust me..this is your problem. if you got anymore Q's just pm me.
