HELP ------ OS 12tr Parts

Does anybody know who has any Rods in stock

Woody 06-11-2002 07:28 PM

For whats its worth I emailed QS Motors about parts for this motor. Thier reply was nothing untill late June (if then). I replied with an "Thats not Acceptable" answer. Which of course I have yet to get a reply back.

Looks like thats the end of OS Motors for me, if they cant support them I wont run them. I already have a second motor cause I couldnt find a con rod to fix the 1st one. 2 $180 motors down the tubes.

Other than the fact that you can't find a rod. What is your
impression of that engine. As far as the power of other stock
engines. Not mods, just other stock ones.

I have a brand new one in the box that I have yet to put into my car. But from what I have seen and heard the engine will keep up with an MT 12.

Hey woody are you running the stock gearing at your track with that motor. I will be at the nats. What % nitro and what plug. Just to get a base. And Tires. I just want to make sure I bring the right tires and have enough to practice with. I have NTC3 as well. Love the car, Fun to drive.

Thanks for any help.

Gearing - 21/26 - 48/54
Tires 45 front 40 rear Calandra Track Magnets (White Rims) not yellow rims (yellow is carpet rubber) Reds, dbl purp, purp ect.

Fuel - Powermaster 30%
Glow plug - MC9/8

You need some fuel with some good racing oil.

Cool, thanks, sounds like I will have right tires.
Interesting on the plug. I might be wrong, but aren't
the Mcoy plugs long reach. O.S. plugs are short.
Like I said I might be wrong.
