Default Adding shims?

When you raise to a higher nitro percentage do add or remove head shims?

You add shims.

Which engine are you running?
What nitro % are you switching to?

Possibly two silver shims and one copper shim. I may be incorrect. Hopefully someone will come in and provide more 411. Goodluck.

If you are using this engine for drag racing you definatly will not want to add shims!!! A good starting point depending on weather is to run 18 thou piston to head clearance on 50% nitro, but remember this is for drag racing only not circuit racing!!

Default .21 head shim

So what's the rule for adding or taking away shims? And how does moving from one elevation to another come into play?
Particularly 1/8 on road engine.
