i would think forced induction of that small of a bore engine would blow up some parts. i have no idea how to conrol the boost either. well looks like i'll just have to wait till they come out with a nitrous system for them.
its on www.hpiracing.com

Look closely
Has anyone noticed the air gap where the stub pipe (to the right)comes off the housing at a 90 degree angle? No turbo is going to work with a big air leak like that. Another thing, look at the shock reservoirs laying horizontal on the upper deck. Air bubbles anyone?
Did anyone notice that the car looks like it started out as an HPI Nitro RS4 ? I think the picture is from someone who has WAY too much free time on their hands.

Re: Look closely
it might look cool but it's obviously bullshyt.
look at the "intercooler" imagine how much it would cost to produce a mini system like that, plus mchining a turbo etc.
anyway you can't turbocharge a 2 stroke .12 becouse it doesn't have a electronic fuel injection system. once you boost it with a turbo it would tun lean.
plus the ex resonates back and forth wouldn't you need to develop a one way valve for the exhaust port???

Yes, it will need a reed valve.
That setup looks funny. Too bad whoever did that wasted his time and didn't bother looking up online for 5 minutes why turbocharging 2 stroke engines does not work well (at least for our small engines.)

that isnt running off exhaust gasses is it
if u ask me they have a belt hooked up to the drive line or something and it coneting to a drive that conects to a fan in the "turbo" and its acting like a super charger
the owner of a hobbie shop made a super charger for one of his offroad cars
it didnt have all that bullshit that trys to make out that its a turbo
is it me or has he tryed to make hydrolicks (or ar they some shitty hpi modd to the shocks ?????????

that "nrs4" pic
Well guys, i hate burst your bubble but like yall say it probably isnt for real. The link hpiracer007 posted was from the hpi forums. well actually the link is to the main page of the hpi site but i know what he meant. Besides the forums are down and they now have a FAQs forums that really isnt a forum at all. The picture was debated over many many pages(in the hpi forums). The turbochager idea was discused many times over too. NObody to this date has turbo charged our little glow engines and if so id have to see it to believe it. Like dan said, it wouldnt help our little glow engines as it would full size engines. Besides it would weight down the car and slow it down much more compared to a properly tuned engine. The picture looks like he hot glued a bunch of stuff on. ALthought it would be neat to see. I myself, just ordered almost $400 worth of hop ups for my nrs4 2 today .

Looks more like a home made active suspension unit.

Turbochargers vs Superchargers
For everyone;
Turbochargers are EXHAUST gas Driven.
Superchargers are BELT Driven off the crankshaft.
Some Diesel Truck engines have BOTH.
It is still somebody playing around with way TOO much time on their hands. Kinda like the FAKE UFO pictures that people make.
