Hey whats up?
I just recently bought a new RD mongoose, this is whats going in it.

Novarossi RS .12 3-port
RD Turbo II pipe

should this car rip with that engine and pipe powering it?

also I need some setups for my car, anyone have like a overall decent setup?

the track I race at has a few wide turns, then a long straight away which streches about 150-250 feet, theres a pic

If the standard Mongoose setup is the ame as the standard G4 that setup should be just fine. I have that as a base and then only adjust quite basic stuff.

This setup should work pretty good if traction is decent and the track is not to rough.

front
camber 1.5
caster centered
track width 195 requires you to shorten the lower arm about 2 mm per side behind the pivot ball (important do it, verify hubs don't bind on lower arms at full right left lock when suspension is all the way down))
blue 1.7 mm tm springs
2 hole pistons in shocks
40 wt shock oil (associated)
shocks layed down all the way
droop kit setting
ride height 4.5
tire dia 60 mm
shore 40 or 37
sway bar flat
toe 0 to .5 out

rear
camber 3.5
track width 200mm
pink 1.4 mm tm springs
1 hole pistons in shocks
40 wt shock oil (associated)
shocks layed down all the way
10,000 wt diff oil (mugen)
toe in 2 per side
tire shore 40
tire dia 60.5
ride height 5.0
droop (kit setting)
rear sway bar removed (be sure to take it off)
camber links lower hole inside, upper hole outside

Gearing 19-25 51-46
internal ratio 19 (stock)
clutch spring 1.7 tm orange
Body mazda 6 or protoform 3.1 stratus

Default Centax Clutch!

Guys,

I had a friend make his racing debut with the Mongoose today an i think he is struggling with the clutch similar to the orginal G4 centax with it slipping.... Is it possible to install the Kyosho 3D clutch from the V1RRR? I also noticed the 2 speed is very sensitive to just the minor imput, we have been unable to locate a sweet spot with it yet and end up going backwards for the final which was disappointing

On the orginal G4 Centax, the clutch would slip causing the motor to bog down an eventually stall. They then bought out the revised version with the different shoes with extra weights in them an a different spring etc. I believe this revised version is what comes standard with the Mongoose??? Since then K-Factory have released another centax all together... It seems to me that you need shares in KFactory if you want to run this car without any problems.

It most likely the clutch spring is too soft. Try the hard Yellow spring.

what do you guys think of my engine and pipe setup?

will it be decently fast in a mongoose since its so light?

the engine was a nova rossi RS .12 3-port
with a RD turbo II pipe

i would love to have something faster then my rs4
that has a .12cv-rx and a nova mega engine.

I think it's ok. Just be sure to use good fuel, proper clutch setup and engine tuning.

Well guys, my wife is very very enthusiastic now with painting bodies, she is learning but at least now i have a source of free painting bodies !!! hehehehe ...

She ordered from USA a Protoform Nemesis Body, and here is her work ... im still cutting the holes of it ...

She used can paints, a light coat of pearl white and over it she throw black and white stripes ...

Hope you like them, she also bought a Stratus 3.1 and a Venom T-10 (HPI) ... right now im running my G4 EVO with the Mazda 6 she painted a couple of weeks ago (on a prior post right here) ...

This is her second paint job on her life !! ... i think its not bad, and she is asking me to teach her how to do pits for me ... wow !! ...
