does anyone have a packet of turn in?
my g4 has good turn in at lower speeds but on higher speed corners, sweepers it tends to push
i'm running 1mm softer tm spring in front than back, 50weight oil all round, 35s on front,37s on rear with almost no droop on front end
hope someone can help me out with a solution
cheers
joe

Some things to try:
Flatten the front swaybar and stiffen the rear.
Narrow the front end of the car a little. Try and run it 196mm. Make sure the steering doesn't bind on the arms, if it does then trim a little material from the arms.
Do the shock mod(1.3mm holes in the pistons) and try that.
Cheers,
Mike.

i think narrowing the front is whats missing so i'll try that, if it's not enough next thing will be the shock mod, just have to see if i have a 1.3mm bit in my tool kit
thanks again for the help mike
p.s the kickass mod sirio will make life a little difficult for me i'm thinking

i had invested in 2 G4 mongoose's, one second hand and a brand new kit supplied by CASAVAL RACING TEAM. as i spent so much money on the 2 cars, i am not able to get the G4s upgrade for quite a while. i have read the posts here on this forum and did some other research. i decided i was going to try and modify the mongoose to get better weight distribution. i did make the changes in line with the G4s, and i found it not too hard to get the car balanced. i made a battery pack 2x2x1 and ground the radio plate, which took out the switch mounting. i then used the plastic holder for the original battery pack to mount the reciever. i changed the wiring so that i just use the plug as like the G4s. no switch. the only thing i needed to do is raise the fuel tank mounting pin at the front as the tank hit the battery. after a race meet i found the steering to be much improved, and equal both ways. the tyre wear is also even. this is the easiest way to greatly improve the mongoose. i am going to try modify the steering later down in time but dont have the same urgency to do so anymore. here is the link for photos. http://www.users.on.net/~dianellacc/index.htm
this is well worth the effort. no parts needed, or the cash for the G4s upgrade.

anyone running there mongoose?

I switched to the G4S too. Way easier to drive and more predictable and balanced.
I still drive the mongoose in empty, smooth parking lots. I'll keep it for a while because I've got tons of parts.
