CRC, Associated, Serpent, Xray are good choices for a 10th scale pan car. The CRC Gen X 10 gives you the option of running a 1s or 2s lipo. I run mine on carpet, but I hear they're a blast on asphalt as well.
And yes, these are a lot easier to set up that your common 10th scale TC (and quicker too!)

...when i hear pan cars, i assume you mean electric (even though we're in a nitro forum). For Nitro pan cars I think Motonica is the only choice right now.

Will send PM in a minute with pricing. The car uses the same wheels as all other cars, ride height is non adjustable, except by tire diameter. As there is no suspension, you can run tires from full size down to about 66mm rears without having the chassis touch the ground.

I have been running my car for nearly two years, still on the original motor, clutch, servos, header/pipe. The only things I have changed on it are a few front end parts, tires (front tires last at least 2 full weekends), and a body or two. The diff oil was changed once because the original oil was too thin. Every time I have taken it to the track, at least two or three other people have driven it. At the track, I spend virtually zero time wrenching on it, and I get over 8 minutes a tank.
