Kyosho spider GP re-build

Hey all,

I am looking to tear down an old Kyosho spider. The spider has been sitting for like 2 years.

Are there any precautions that I should know about before tearing it down and re-assembling her?

It has an O.S. max 0.12 engine that I had installed in it and then ran for about 2 months. Then the pull start assembly broke off the side of the engine.

Should I do anything with the engine in regards to there being fuel left in it from before or would that have evaporated?

I bought the spider used a few years back and never had a manual for it...is there anywhere online that is like a database for rc manuals?

Thanks in advance for your help.

remove the pullstart and install a backplate. if u dnt have a starter box,try looking for a replacement starter unit..inspect the pulleys and belts..and the gears also! it's hard to find spider parts nowadays..gudluck!

Shouldn't be too many problems. Those cars are pretty solid. If you have any questions, fire away.

If you are interested, I have a complete car that is all tricked and did very well in the Kyosho Cup if you want to pick up an extra for parts. Not to mention I have a good amount of spare parts that would go along with it. If you wanted to pick up this complete car with all spares for dirt cheap, let me know. It even includes such things as new in the bag Cross aluminum knuckles and Kyosho heavy duty universals.
