We had a great time racing the Byrons Challenge again this year. A big thanks to the Byron fuels folks and to RCAmerica/Xray for making the race happen. And of course a big thank you goes to the Leisure Hours crew for the facility and running a smooth event. Great competition. We will be back next year for sure.

The weather out here is absolutely perfect for racing!! We got here yesterday and got on the track and it is glass smooth, the layout is fast and challenging, traction is outstanding.
Race #1 is just about to kick off and the pits are kinda quiet people focused on their cars.

Congrates to Paul L. Its awesome seeing that caliber of racing. It was also cool to see Andy Power TQ and place 2nd behind Paul....They are 2 of the nicest guys you'll ever talk to at the track. They conduct themselves well and set a great example for all the other racers to race by.
Thanks Mike, You and Espo are a hard pair to live up to but I'm trying.
Good to see you again and hope you can make it back to nitro soon. I had a great time this weekend! It's always a fun race and great group of people.

Just got home a bit ago. What a great weekend of racing. I will be back next year for the 2012 Byrons Challenge.
Leisure Hours Raceway, what a great facility. You guys have done a great job.
Congrats to Paul, X-Ray and Powermaster fuel for the clean sweep.
A big Thank you to Drew Ellis for the help pitting me this weekend. Its always hard enough to fly to a race and it always helps to know that there are some great people such as Drew, Ralph and Paul from X-Ray that are willing to help out.

Loran Whiting gets the atta boy (Girl) award for the weekend. Outstanding performance 45min B-main (1/8th) bump then the 1 hour Sedan Main and then the 1 hour 1/8 Main. Thats a bunch of driving. Well done. I hope you made your Dad do all the driving home so you could get some well deserved rest.
