Ashby is a real drivers circuit, and if it wasn't for the bumps, would be the best circuit for fun challenging driving.
You will have to forget one-ways there as the corners are mainly hairpin corners, and there are a couple of heavy braking points that are not on a straight bit of track.
I'm looking forward to the 4 hour race, but not sure if the car is

Ill be using the FW for the endurance for the fuel economy and possibly less wear.

Looks like we can use Saturday for practice and camping in the field. Did you get an entrance form NiMo?

Cheers

Not had time to think about it yet, been having to work extra hours as Heathrow is suddenly very busy with extra staff brought in to help the Tsunami returnees and aid movement.

I will catch up, and will also get the Aldershot 4 hour date sorted.

The 20T - 23T gear were released as 1st gears for the FW05, but are used as the 2nd gears for the RRR.

Drags?

Just a street race in a straight line? What length to the finish and do you have to turn around?

Cheers

If I read you right, Drags is a straight line sprint, in this case there are other things to look at:
The FW05 is very quick off the mark but is heavier and can suffer from torque steer if the grip is not 100%
The RRR is lighter and wont have torque steer, but belt cars for some reason do not get off the blocks too quickly.
Which ever way you go you must have one-way and front overdrive so the front pulls the car straight with a little wheelspin.

A solid rear axle will also keep it in a straight line
