NTC3 Clutch Springs

Does anyone make clutch springs for the NTC3 that are harder than the copper stiff springs AE makes? The Schumacher R12 uses the same springs and shoes and I would like to find something a little stiffer. Thanks!

I may be wrong, but I thought that if you lightened the clutch shoes that it would have the same effect as a stiffer spring. I use the copper springs and lightened the clutch shoes to delay the timing of the engagement. I left the same amount of surface contact, but just removed alot of material from the center of the shoes.

Do you have a picture or can you describe where you took off the material? Did you just drill some holes through the top of the shoe?
