Ahh got my nitro car.. Going crazy!
Well, I got the HPI RS4 Evo 3. I only got it to actually start up twice since I've had it... ( About 5 hours now. ) I have the Rota start but it won't start up. I also looked on my glow plug heater and it seems to be fine?
Any idea what else I should check?

have you tried checking your glow plug?
what about fuel? is the engine flooding or getting enough fuel?
i would advice you to goto you local hobby shop where you brought the car to get them to show you how to start it up first time every time etc... or have an expreinced person show you . as its hard to learn through reading when your a newbie. Just an advice though.

Am I supposed to just leave the glow heater on there for a while before trying to start it?
It may be flooded.. Some gas shot out of the exhaust thing when I tried to crank it. Dunno. I got it running twice but it was idling HELLA high.

How far is the carby open??

Try taking out the plug turning the car upside down and turning over the motor half a dozen times. Then check that the exhaust isn't full of fuel by tipping it on its side
#6
that should do it if it's flooded

There's hella gas coming out of the exhaust.
#8
There should be some smoke at idle.

Its flooded dude,
1 take glow plug out and test it, make sure it glows.
2 turn engine over a few rpms, this should clear out the excess fuel.
3 put glow plug back in and try again.
this should work for you bro.
If idleing to fast bring the idle back with your trim on the transmitter.
good luck bro
