Will my 1/10 on-road car fit on a 1/8 starter box? do i really need to buy a universal box to use with my 1/8 buggy and 1/10 onroad car?

Depends which way the engine is mounted and how wide the flywheel gap is.

Yes you will need a new box the flywheel runs front to back on the onroad cars not side ways like off road

nah, my onroad flywheel runs side to side just like my buggy, its just an rs4.

i just purchase the RB Starter box it universal and so far i tried it on my serpent and dm-1,,its real easy to switch back & forth
