Default Tyre truers

Got it boiled down to either the Hudy unit , the 3Racing unit and this new player from HARD racing.
The price for the HUDY is skyrocketting, but I havent heard much from the 3Racing unit in the way of reliability

Has anyone used the HARD unit? I will only be truing 1/8 foam tyres.

I have not seen the other truers. I do know that in life you get what you pay for. I'd go Hudy!

If you have the money, go for the Hudy, best truer you can buy. Whats also great about it is that it holds its value, if 5 years down the line you want to sell it, you wont loose a lot of money.

I have the 3racing truer. I use it for 1/8th. I used it for first time at weekend and it works really well and the cut is very accurate even with hacksaw blades. It will take a rear tyre right down in one go. The build quality is very good and feels like it will last. The only thing I would advise is not to use the 3racing arbor as it didnt fit to well on the shaft. I bought a HARD racing arbor with a grub screw and it works fine. Time will tell how long it lasts but it's so much cheaper than the HUDY it was too good to resist.

If you can't afford a Hudy. Then my 2nd choice would be the Ofna. The 3rd would be RD Logics. The Ofna comes with a pretty strong motor. Sorry I don't trust anything from 3racing.

Pass you soon...

Yea, I was wondering why there are 'spare parts' for the control board circuit and the motor. My other racing buddies are using the Hudy unit as well and its kinda lame to 'borrow' their tools the weekend before the race. I can afford it, just wanted to see what was the other opinions of the other truers. RD Logics? I'll look at their website now...

I would agree on the Ofna (the automatic one not the manual). Had one that was serving me well 6 years until it was stolen.

I bought a hudy from ebay. It is a used from first user.

It is still working fine and I recommend HUDY if you have enough money.

I also had Team intergy truer until it' stolen... which has 110 v power plug.

I think Hudy truer is best for 1/8 th scale. But If you want to get Hudy Truer then you also need Power Supply which needs more 13A.

So I also bought much more power supply for hudy.

I have the integy and its ok. I used the Hudy once and it is so much better I mean WAY better. You get what you pay for. I'm saving up for one and selling the integy.

Hudy Truer used since '93. Tires trued were 8th, 235mm & Sedan foams. Its now turning 12th tires. Never had a problem. What I paid for it in '93 was worth a life time.

Does anyone knows where tire donuts are available??

Hudy if not, Ofna. I had mine for over 10 years, the only one i would replace it with is the Hudy.
