neg diff
you should have 2 red o rings.
put the first one in right before the gears . o ring - shim- pin-now gears. now gasket-gear-pin-shim |
Hi, what does the negative diff do exactly ? how much different is it from the one that comes with the kit ? when do we use it ? Thanks !
|
it only came with one oring.
I used the standars one's in the spots where you said. Not sure what they are used for but I noticed sirakarn had one in his car when he was here a few months back. |
Negative Diff:
On power, it locks up like a solid axle. Off power, it is a diff. |

The O-rings are intended to stop the diff oil escaping from the diff. It can seep along the output shafts and onto the clutch shoes.
Here's a pic of the V-One version, but I expect the principal should be the same. |

Re: neg diff
sorry for this, but I couldn't stop thinking and LOL that this might be how my wife thinks of it, " It feels tight, like its too big."
sorry, sorry...   Originally posted by GUINT1 Yes this is correct. When youre putting the O-ring in. Thats OK. |
As long as your wife doesn't lock up on exit, it's all good.
