After a highly successful 2008 Motonica Grand Prix, we are proud to officially announce the dates for the 2009 Motonica GP, April 24, 25, and 26, at the Silver Bowl Raceway in Las Vegas Nevada. This event is the continuation of the long running tradition of spring time Vegas races, dating back to the mid 90’s. Last year’s event had perfect weather conditions and saw Jeffrey Lin, Josh Cyrul, and Scott Fisher win the Sedan, 1/8th, and GT classes respectively. Come out and try your hand at taking home the first place trophy at one of the finest on road RC racing facilities in the nation.

This event will feature special prize races for the top qualifying privateer racers and free pizza on Saturday courtesy of Motonica USA, setup help from Motonica USA team drivers (for all drivers/cars), Byron Fuels Contingency prizes, and much more. Easy and convenient PayPal sign up will be available through the Team Taylor website. To help keep costs down and accommodate all racers, many of whom have full time jobs and/or family commitments, we are sticking to the 3 day format which has received a positive feedback from previous events. Special rates will be available at the trackside hotel to help keep costs down. The track is open well into the night, so there will be plenty of practice on Friday and Saturday. If you enjoy racing, lots of track time, long main events, and a well run race program, come on out and be a part of the action. This is a competitive and fun event; please leave the drama at home. Just as we did last spring, we wish to and will personally thank every racer who makes the trip and do our best to ensure everyone has a memorable time.

This race will be run under ROAR rules, and ROAR membership is required and available trackside. Race results and photos will be posted online after the conclusion of the event. You must sign up by either mailing in your entry form and payment or signing up through the Team Taylor website; there are no PM or email sign ups, and no pre entry list posted online; pre-enter before the deadline to avoid late fees. This is all done to ensure a smooth running race program. The entry fee is being kept at a minimum for a 3 day event. If there is enough interest we may add a Master’s 1/8th class.

Motonica USA is grateful for the hard work and planning provided by the members of Team Taylor Racing. Anyone who has ever organized and run a race event will know how much work it takes and how easy it is to be a target of criticism. We hope to see new and old faces, privateers and factory teams, and we are looking forward to another successful and well attended event. Race flier and schedule will be posted on www.4acesrcracing.net and this thread shortly.

Here are some photos from last year:

No problem on the trailer, just make sure to talk to Rich ahead of time to confirm a spot and make sure any fees (from the county) are paid for in advance.

Brett- There will be a test and tune session, if not multiple test and tunes before the race. Expect something after mid February as Rich is working extended hours for the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Garen,

I couldn't find any sign up info, so I emailed that 5th scale club guys and we'll see what they say on sign up info.

Ran/practiced at the Silverbowl track for about 4 hours Sunday and can't wait to race the IGT car again.

Thanks,

Billy
