Must be some kind of clearence...or they sat on the shelves long enough. I see some older discontinued stuff go for prices like that. They are nice cars, but even at those prices, it's no wonder 1/8th scale cars aren't more plentiful, at least around here...

However, at the performance levels these cars are running, I prolly wouldn't like to see kids around town trying to drive them unsupervised. I have recently been witness to a couple cars that have been "mis-used" so I'm a little biased. Don't get me wrong, I love introducing people to the hobby, but I usually suggest a 1/10 RTR for the noobs checking out raceday for the first time. The mall is right there, so we get a broad-range exposure.(people will pull up near and park for 20 minutes or more just watching)

If Kyosho keeps the car supported(parts), and somehow they're going that cheap, they may get a little more plentiful...

I honestly would've gone 8th onroad and I could've too. Guess I decided not to. It's ok though.

Are you going to the midwest series race in mentor ohio

Any chance you could film the races? There are so few 1/8th scale race videos...

Thanks, I do like watching those "Home Grown" club level videos. The pros so rarely make mistakes, exciting, but takes some of the fun out of it...

I've seen that many times. THose guys seem like beginners or advance 8th drivers. I know they can go faster than that. However they could just be messin around though. I'm not going 8th only due to the cost.

No, still the comsuption rate of the .21 engines, the fuel it consumes per tank, the rate at which the tires burn out on those cars still add up more than a nitro sedan. No way 8th is gonna be less than or the same 10th scales period.

Default 1/10 racer checking on 1/8 scale.......

Hi guys,

I've been racing 1/10 scale for a while, but I've been watching this thread for a while. Maybe I have a taste for 1/8, but I'd like to find out more info. Is there a website dedicated to 1/8?

The price for XR8 seems unbelievable, considering that it's almost what I paid for my 1/10 NTC3.

Thanks
