I remember reading about this possible new class GP (or perhaps its GPR) a while ago, but there hasn't seemed to be much action with it yet.
For those of you who might not have heard about it its basically running larger front and rear foam tyres of 40 or 44mm on the rear and 30 or 32mm on the front on a 1/10th Nitro car chassis.
The idea being that the extra contact patch and stability from the extra width will be better suited to handle the high power output from today's modern high-end nitro engines.
There has been some negative talk that it is too similar to the old 235mm class that was toyed with at some stage but never proved successful.
The good thing about this class however is that it dosent involve a whole new chassis, mearly changing the wheels and body, and in some cases using one of the 220mm conversion kits.
Heres some links to some info on it
KNACK Racing 1/10 220mm GP Car conversion kit
Kamikaze has some nice looking wheels for sale too
Anyone else done it yet, or thinking about it?
I am seriously thinking of giving this a go, just to see how it performs.
