I came across a good deal on an rex rer5 port engine brand new out the box ,wanted to know are these good engines if so what pipe would be good for it .thinking of run it in my mtx4 I have an picco jlr red dot runing now will that rex be an better choice or should i say is it faster ,only thing about the rex is that it was produced 2005 will I be able to find an connecting rod or sleve for it .with the picco I did run in then changred connecting rod after run in picco engines c-rod cracks after run in or 1/4 of an gallon.still good engine fast an screamer hold tune may out run some of those highend engines.:sneaky:

They were great motors. The 5 is not roar legal if that matters to you. I think rods are still available but not 100% sure as I never had to replace the rod in mine so not sure which one it uses. P/S sets are going to be tough unless a more current model fits but it's long lasting and can always be pinched. Should run pretty close to that Picco.

Just pulled mine out of storage! These were great engines, lots of rpm.
