Default 2 Speed setting

Dear all i am building by 801 and just came across the 2 speed. Do you have to tighten the screws where you hold the two sping all the way till the spacers and just leave them like that ???

You gently tighten both springs till they stop then turn them out 2.5 turns each. That's good starting point. Then adjust to your track. Two speed is ultra smooth

Default Build report on LAB-C801

I completed my build of the LAB-C801 and will soon post a report of that here.
It will need some time to go through all the pictures and type up a nice report.
In the meantime a little tease of the exterior:

If you are talking about the carbon fiber piece on the lower rear arm, they also make them in "steel" If you run Contact tires I beleive the rims are smaller and can cause the Carbon Fiber piece to break easier.

Anyone using the front wire sway bar on their C801? I can not screw in the ball cups on the bottom of the front arms. I applied serious amounts of pressure with the 4mm hudy driver and It will just not make a thread in the plastic. Any hints on how to put them into the lower front arms properly?

I heat up the ball cups with heat gun put it in the plastic while it hot and start making a thread, i dont know if thats the proper way but it works...

Just get a tap and tap the plastic, when you screw in the ballcup it will go right in, and by taping it you also prevent the plastic from splitting.

When you screw the ballcup in without tapping it, all you're doing is displacing the material, when you tap it you actually cut material off.

If the screw that threads ine th hole is 3mm, then get a 3mm tap. Make sure to get the high speed steel ones, dont get a carbon steel one, they are crap. Also, get a tap handle.

I got it already....The size of the tap should be 8mm -1.

Default Steering Servo to Servo Saver Turnbuckle issues

Hey people, i am having problems installing the turnbuckle between the steering servo and servo saver as it seems that its really tight. What servo horn measurment do you suggest as i beleive that mine is way to long. Also the plastic turnbuckle end parts seem to bind with the servo saver and servo horn resulting in not a smooth turn. Tried shaving a bit the plastic and it did get better but still not happy with result.

Thanks
