I need to get my darn car built already. Haven't run 1/8th scale in quite a while and very limited experience. Should be fun though.

Hereby a small update on the C801 manual:

It is advised to use the small grub screw in the shoes for longer life of the shoes. We recommend to use some glue (ca) to secure the setscrew into the 2-speed shoe.

There have been rumors for a while but today it's official: Lamberto Collari has joined Capricorn!.
The best drive in the world now has the best car in the world.

We can exclusively report that 9-time World Champion Lamberto Collari has joined Capricorn for 2012. Having driven for Kyosho previously the Italian was looking for a new adventure and decided to change to Capricorn to make an Italian dream team with Italian driver, car, engine and tires. As well as competing in this year’s National championship and aiming to defend the European title he won last year in Luxembourg, Collari is also looking for new goals and having tested the company’s Lab-C02 chassis, has decided for the first time to compete in the 1/10th scale class and will race that this year’s Euros in Cassino, Italy.

Will be interesting to see how long Capricorn will be able to afford these guys.

I think they should work on their distributor network first....

I am guessing there is some element of italian pride in the signing, and possibly, if Capricorn played the pride card right, they may have gotten some of the other major brands mentioned in the Red RC post to fork some of the yearly contract costs....maybe these Italian brands are joining forces in a sort of business/patriotism type link

If Lamberto wins, the brands win, so they have a vested interest in making sure he is successful, so the patriotism/business link isn't just all flags and jingoism
