Default Question On These HPI Shocks...

Will these shocks fit a HPI RS4 2? I am trying to buy the best HPI shocks I can get for that car. Thanks.

Yes they will work on the HPI RS4-2, RS4-3 etc. I have two pairs of them on my car now and I'm very please how well they work at keeping my X-Patterns planted to the ground on high speed runs.

Awesome.

Um I have a huge list of parts I want to get for my RS4 2. Should I get a slipper clutch? I am getting a 2-Speed, Light Flywheel, ect.

Btw, I used to own a RS4 2, 2 years ago, so I know a lot about the car, but I have totally forgot what some stuff does!

"Wolfpack Radical" Customized RS4-2 This is how mine started out before I began adding other things to it.

Awww man that is really nice.

Did you have a regular RS4 kit and just upgraded to the Racer 2 Gas tank?

Where did yo get your Side Belt Tensioner? I am currently looking for one.

And finally do you race it?

Default HPI Shocks and sway bars

I have those same shocks on my RS4 and they work and look GREAT !!!
The sway bars SHOULD work with the Pro4 mounts. I've never tried that combo but they appear to be the same size. Otherwise, the mounts that come with the sway bar kit work perfectly.

Alright cool, Um what type of Shock Oil wt should I get?

Here is everything I am currently getting for my RS4 RTR. See anything I should also get? I'll be using a HPI .12 SC Non-Pull Start Motor.

The only things Tower doesn't have is a Fiber Disc Brake, Rear Shiny MIP CVD's and maybe 1 other thing, can't remember right now.

I started mine out with AE 50wt oil. I don't race my RS4 so I can't really tell you a good racing set-up. I'm currently running 40wt. It does OK for bashing.

I would recomend the robinson vented steel brake disk. Also, you should do the racer2 upper arm conversion. It really improves the suspension geometry. Take a look at the HPI web site and follow the racer2 stock setup. It gives you a really good starting point for racing parking lot.

Yeah when I owned my first HPI RS4, I converted the upper suspension to a Racer 2 setup. There isn't really that much of a difference between that and using this...

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXM637&P=0

The only difference is the Racer 2 setup is thicker and a little bit stronger, but the turnbuckles set is lighter and can do the same thing.

I have never used a steel brake before, its always been the fiber disc brake. How long do they last?
