We took the car to Fiorano two weeks ago and it ran awesome.
Really confidence inspiring handling.
We got to really good lap times really quick.

Default rear belt tension

any ways that we could increase/adjust the rear belt tension when using the 50T? seems like it's fixed at only 1 tension...slightly loose

I am also new to this car, but I think there are special excenters for the 50 t rear pulley.

The part number should be MOT06183R02

To use the 50T you must use either the aluminum cups shown in the above post, or use the new optional plastic cups included with the RS kit. The new plastic cups have an extra 'ear' on them and I think they are replacing the aluminum cups. Either way, the cups can be installed in various positions to gain or reduce tension and also raise or lower the spool. I used the new optional plastic cups, cut the extra ear off and lowered the spool and also put it at the highest tension setting. This is explained in more detail on the RS building tips. You can download the file on the support page of motonica-usa.com.

Apparently not. Scotty ran the 50T at the KO race with no issues, and I have the 50T in my RS and at least through break in, no problems.

In France we had the first round of our championship.

And Stephane Bouche with its Motonica P81 RS won the 45 min final.

i've attached pictures of my rear belt tension, it's at the tightest setting, using 50T.

is it normal? i could 'press down' the belt about 10mm without much efforts needed...

I am running my car with the 50T using the supplied plastic cups with the 3 ears. I cut one of the ears off so that I could rotate it to match the same position (both low and back) as the optional aluminum cups. The belt is not as tight as I would like or think it should be, but I have run all weekend without any problems. I will check to see if I can press down as far as you are pressing on your belt, but if you have not modded the cups like I did, you might want to do it.

By the way, this weekend at the RCX show race event Team Motonica has 2 cars in the expert field and at least 2 cars in the sportsman class. Both cars in the expert class are in the main, qualified 1st and 3rd and one car in the sportsman main, qualified 3rd or 4th. Brad Toffelmire has set TQ with his P81 Pro and I am 3rd first time out with my RS. Mains are today and I am heading out to the track soon, but it is raining here and likely going to rain out at the track too.

Guys, have you checked your dogbones yet?

Seems that we have quite a few that are cracked out of the box.

yup the rear is already installed as per your advices and suggestions...seems like the belt is having a tooth too many?

stefan: which dogbones and where they cracked?
