how do Carbon wheels compare to normal ones? & are they getting racer a faster lap time?

well carbons are bit lighter than normal ones..i think "lighter is faster"

someone please clarify what i said..

Lighter but mainly stiffer. With less flex in the wheel steering feels more connected. A rim that flexes gives more traction but less responsive. The opposite is true for a carbon wheel.
