Hi guys,

Recently brought an rx8 and just completed the build with a novarossi kangaroo motor. Just a quick question as I've been reading alot about problems xray has with the clutches? While running my motor in still the clutch is barley engaging at all at half throttle? I tried tightening and loosening still no go. Shimmed to .07 clearance. What could be the problem? And how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance
Dave

While running in rich, you need to get it engaging earlier:
==> loosen the spring nut
==> move the bell closer to the clutch shoe with the shims
==> change to a softer spring

Hey dave, run your clutch bell into about .4 and back off the clutch nut to just about zero and run a tank or two like this ( take it easy) dont forget to put oil on the shoe and bell. Then put your normall set up on it when the shoe shows some brown on the face.
Hope this helps ya

Tough to say with out knowing your set up. But these things should help

1. take caster out of the car ( more spacers in the front top A arm)

2. make sure front sway bar is flat

3. softer front springs ( car wont be so reactive)

Hope this helps you
