I'm looking for some on road shocks for another project. Can someone post the length from eye to eye for the front and rear shocks and also the barrel diameter (15mm,16mm) or the spring inner diameter. Thanks

What car handling effect do I get if I increase rear downstop from 7 on my hudy block ( 7 is rx8 standard downstop from the manual ) to 9 ?

Any other suggestions ? I'm looking rear car to rotate easier without losing grip while cornering.

Thanks for tips.

One thing to pay attention to: You can only go higher with the downstop number if you do not compress your spring at normal ride height.

My standard procedure: I set ride height. I take the smallest tires I need to run in the main event (e.g. 61 front 68 rear) and check that there is still reasonable ride height (e.g. 4mm front, 4.5mm rear). Then I increase the rear arm height (higher downstop number) just a tad below the point where I would compress the spring. Now thats the maximum for me. It gives minimum upward travel of the rear under braking and a responsive rear end. With full size tires the ride height will increase to 9 / 9.5mm or so...
