SO what's the news on this car? Who's seen it upclose, in action, touched it, sniffed it? I noticed Ralph Burch is signed up at the IFMAR Worlds with one.....

I'm an big Xray fan but why would I pre order the car without seeing any pictures of it?

I have only seen that teaser pic which didn't reveal much and have not even seen any 3D CAD images like Mugen did with the MRX5.

Having said that, I'm sure it will be a great car though.

I am pretty sure the car will be amazing no matter how it looks... They are on a tight timeframe and want to make sure everyone has the car for the Worlds...

I can't recall ever seeing 3D CAD images for an Xray car (that me, I may be wrong). So, I am pretty sure Mr Hudy only wants to release his baby in a beautiful photoshoot with Xray's name and everything like all of Xray and Hudy equipment presentation has had...

Would it be a plastic one, or do they go aluminum...?
Hope it will be aluminum, just like the 966 and the LAB08.

Think that`s where the future is at.

Don't think so. I can tell you that all alum. is not good. The harmonic balance of the car is a big deal the more alum on the car the worst that is. Think of the vibration the car has going thru it at 60mph. The alum is for sure trick and cheaper as for production, but I think plastic will be better especially Xray plastic.

Thanks Drew

A "plastic car" is still world champion so aluminium is not a factor or not a huge factor.

But next WC it will be interesting with all those new brands and the already succesfull MRX5

If Kyosho decided to go with their new touring car with plastic, it must be for something....

Hey Drew,

Could you explain a few things that you are saying? Dont know what you mean,
maybe its the langauge barrier, so i dont understand it right?
In technical facts, what will the "harmonic balance" do?
Will there be a vibration in the car that will reach the eigenvalue off the design, so it will self destruct. Or do you mean it will be bad for fatique off the parts? Do you know a example of a car that has gone over the fatique strenght.
Or will it be bad for the electronic parts, aren`t they isolated by hanging them in rubbers.

What technical principle will be bad for the handling?

And lets say a car producer will make a 1000+ kits of a car, will the production of the aluminum parts really be cheaper then the injection molding?

Aint trying to piss on you, but i cant think off a negative technical principle,
maybe i dont know the harmonic balance, then will you explain that to me.

Kind regards,

Roy
