Default New engine needed

Hi there,

Seems my fs12lt in my tamiya tg10 has died
So looking for a new engine. Gonna be also getting hold of a 2 speed transmission for it, just wondering what engine you guy's would recommended.

also anyone know if they came with ballrace bearings as standard. got it in pieces at the mo and thinking of upgrading, just can't remember if it had plastic or ballrace bearings when i built it.

cheers

Hi,

It depends on wath you want and most important wath you want to spend!

If you want to spend as much as you can I would defenitly recommend a JP, but this is a highly competitive engine, and is expensive.

If you wnat to have a relaible engine, and not as expensive, I would go for a Omega (picco).
Those engines are fast and relaible.

But, like I said, make up you're mind and deside wath you want, and how much you can spend!

had a look on the site and very interested in those engines.
Do you know if they deliever to the UK????
Also I see on there site that they don't list the power output, any idea as to what this is???
Would this engine fit into the mounting holes on a tamiya tg10 mk1???

thanks

cool, I'll contact the UK distributer and see about prices and availability.
also seen on tamiyantro.com that a epic .18 will also fit and provides insane amounts of power
gonna have to compare the 2!!!

thanks
