BTW: It does not matter what you use in a local race. However, if you are in the Nationals and Worlds, motor does matter for Manufacturer racers not like us. Even if we use JP, Novamaxx, KHM and the most expensive motors out there it would be still hard for us to get to the top ten chart. Unless, you win a National race, Manufacturer will pay your expenses, kit, motor, hotel etc. for that event!!

I really have no problem see PICCO and MEGA are going to do some more price acceptable GOOD QUALITY engines.....and I am refused to spend $250 for some 5 port Turbo engine and $350 for some 5 port MOD turbo engine...

If they said it will be 30-50% less then what Nova Rossi based engine....we will see some 5 port TURBO engine with around 1.8HP for about $180-$200.............now, that is ACCEPTABLE price.

Although i'm not a fan of Picco based engines, I like the idea of trying to bring the price of engines down. Maybe Novarossi will wake up and follow suit.

The costs of un-modified engines has risen sooo much the past two years that it's rediculous and unacceptable. As a matter of fact, engine prices has it made it much easier for me to take a sabattical from RC racing(going on nine months now). Gee, I remember when a $140 Mugen MT12 was expensive.

When you think about it, yesterdays MT12 isn't that much different from todays high priced engines. A slightly bigger crank and different timing doesn't justify the $100+ price increase. Different piston material shouldn't bring the price up that much either.
