Default Light Weight Rims

Hi,

I use standard weight rims currently on my 8th car and was wondering if lightweight rims would be better for me, it would only cost me an extra £2 a set of tyres, is it worth it? What is better about them except they weigh less?

Cheers
Luke

Are you a toplevel driver?
Do you think lowering the rotating weight can give improved laptimes?

If you are just an avarage driver you will not make an huge improvement (maybe non at all), even on toplevel it can only differ 0.1 sec or less a lap. It is up to you if you want to take a risk to drive with higher costing tires and much more fragile rims.
