The guy before your post said that the jp mod version is stupid fast. Thank goodness, because I also got one of those.

Yes, the JP mod mugen x-12 is stupid fast. I couple of racers from the Austin and San Antonio TX areas have them and they flat out outrun the NS3. With these guys driving skills, they are pretty much untouchable on the track at club or regional events.

Anyone have any opinions on the JP FX .12 vs the Mugen X12? Picking one of them up (or gonna try to anyway) this weekend. Thanks

As soon as I can find one, I plan on having it modified by Murnan.

I just bought murnan X12 and it is the fastest motor I have ever had. You will be extrememly impressed. It is so fast when I ran rubber tires the tires where coming off the rim in 5 minutes.

the red5:

They are in stock at Mugen, so hobby shops shouldn't have a problem finding the Mugen x-12,s. Nitrohouse had them in stock one week ago, and had just gotten them in that day.

Well, after reading all of you guys opinion......1 thing for sure, this MUST BE a great engine, no doubt....
And about my friends 5 minutes run time, we will do more tunning and running and see why he cannot make it a 5 minutes the whole day....

I am sure the needle setting is correct and legit, but it might be the way he drive...gun the car too much and waste fuel, broken fuel tank, car is over gearing.....etc

But if I have to think about the JP or Murnan modified X12..............I can only imagine what my NTC3/R40 will look like with a 70 mph speeding ticket....

That sound more like bad gluing of your tires than the engine running the tires off. Got to quit using the Elmer's glue and go with CA.

I picked up a JP FX12 S3 from Superior Hobbies, on e-Bay for $309.95, +shipping and ins. $321.95. I thought that's the best deal seen anywhere.

Haven't decided if I'll let Uriah have his way with it or not yet...
