Ralph is the only guy I have heard say he doesn't like the conical washers. (and a few of the guys who live and die by what Ralph says. As if we all drive like Ralph. lol) I like them very much as once it is set up you don't have to worry about it as the shoe will last a long time and wear very even. I have run Drew's set up and it might hit a touch harder but its not a huge difference by any means and the shoe lasting is a crap shoot. So for making laps and working on car set up I'm running the conical washers, if I need another 0.050 of a second I will go with Drew's settings.

Questions??

Hey Drew hows it going? Quick question on 1/8scale nitro suspension. What is Ralph and Paul L. using for shock fluid, springs and pistons in the RX8 shocks? I have 7.0 spring front and 5.0 spring for rear, running 3hole pistons all around. I'm running on a low bite track and doing some testing this weekend. What do you suggest?

In the final countdown for the new ride just as the weather is starting to look promising around here! The RCA team is off to a great start in 2012. Lets all make sure we give Solo reason to keep making and sharing the red kool-aid! Good luck to everyone in the upcoming races at the Cow patty Classic and the KO Propo grand prix.

What's up, Ralph has been running the 7.0 in the front and the red (38lb) spring in the rear. With 3 hole in the front and 2 hole in the rear. 700 in the front and 600 in the rear. At the winter nats we went with harder springs all the way around and the car was better. Same shock oil and pistons, but With the new 7.9 spring and a new test spring in the rear which was really close to the red.

The first setup should be a good starting spot.

Let us know how it goes this weekend.

Thanks Drew

Default Nt12012chassis question

Hi team
I know the 2012 chassis is milled under the engine for lower cg but the engine mount heigh has not changed.. I would think to get lower cg the engine should also sit lower.
