Servos for MTX-3
I need some new servos for my MTX-3 and Im not sure what to get.Im more concerned about getting a nice high speed for the steering. What about going digital?Im using an older M8,would it be worth spending the extra cash on digital servos? What is everyone using?

Ko Propo digital is the best. pricey, but you get what you pay for

When buying servos I would always go for either KO or Futaba both pricey but extremely high quality and will last for ages. FOr the throtle I wouldn't worry about gettin nethin super torquie or high speed. The Futaba S3003 has done the job faultlessly for me for over 6 years. For steering, never heard anything bad about the S9550's.

i couldn't agree with you more , when it comes to servo you won't go wrong with KO , futaba , airtroncis etc..i learned my lesson the hard way, i ended up spent more money. i was using nothing but hiXec servos , because i thought for the price you really can't beat it, but i had so much problems with them you don't want to know about it..just stay with high ends , trust me it's worth the money.

I have been using Hites hs925mg on the steer and hs535mg on the throttle in my mtx-3.
Have worked well. No probs so far.

i've got 2 futuba s9550's for my prospec. i love em! the throttle servo can be lowered by a substantial amount just place it under the topdeck and add spacers.
also the s9550 would be perfect for s laydown design.

I have the "older" 9450's on steering and throttle one my my MTX-3's- and on my other MTX-3 I have a 94359 on the steering 94758 on the throttle.
I'd stay away from Hitecs also- nothing but problems for me with 3 different digital servos from them. Their standard servos seem to service me fine, but digital....... yuck!

i know just what your talking about. i had 2 digital hitec 5645, and they both went to caput, i rebuild them twice then sent them to hitec. then i just sold them and bought 2 futaba s9451's. haven't had a problem since.

I am using an AIRTROINCS 94357 in my mugen mst-1. I highly recommend this servo to anyone. Plenty of power and especially SPEED. It has worked flawlessly in my mugen truck. First thing you will notice is how fast it centers back. It cost around $100 but has a .07 transit speed! LIke what others have said already, the throttle servo is less important but I like to use a high torque servo for that as well, it gives me better brake feeling and faster throttle response. Im using the HS-605 if your interested. Also like the other guys have alreayd said, you cant go wrong with a nice high end servo from brands like KO, Futaba, and Airtronics.
