Is the mugen with a transverse mounted engine? engine mounted parallel with the central driveshaft? or is it similar to the 710?
Usually starter boxes can be set up with 'pins' so that the car will be aligned with the starter wheel perfectly.

I'm not sure if the 710 has the same dimensions as the Mugen.

sell the serpent and use the mugen.
the 710 is very old now , really no point running two different brand of cars, it will make it harder to get your head around tuning for both cars.
the money get from the serpent use it for essential parts on the mugen like gears and from arms.

Any starter box will work, Ofna boxes. The only difference is how the locater pin are located. Serpent PowerStart can be used with all Serpent models, fro Impulse - 733, Vectors-966, & 10th 235mm. What ever car you have find out which works best for you. Knowing how the chassis fit on top of box, who it contacts the start wheel to the flywheel.

Me being a Serpent guy. Guys along the pits, alway ask tp use my box, instead of walking to their pits to restart. I say go ahead. They figure on contact of starter wheel and restart. Mugan, Kyosho, and Delta. Yes only during practice only!!!
