Do you know the price?

Great question....but I don't think we'll like the answer. I expect $750

Sorry, I just got back here. Obviously the the price is up to the distributors. I expect it will be comparable to the Mugen.
I can say that Delta seems to be putting a extra effort toward making sure everything is in stock for the car.

Since the kit has been out for a while.... Could any XP4 owner tell me what's the difference between the XP4 and the Evolva besides cosmetic?

The belts, chassis and upper deck are different...BUT if you don't look under the body, they are exactly the same. This car is a "Kyosho" for all intensive purposes. I think it's the "Hobbico" situation here in the states that is the cause for this car being in existence.

Congratulations to Ralph Burch Jr for winning the 2004 ROAR 1/8 Fuel On-Road Nationals !!!
He's probably restricted to make a plug for the car, so my thoughts say "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday". Actually, a couple of kits was sold on site and probably would have sold more but there were none left. I'll be waiting for one now.

The XP4 is exactly the same plastic but Delta makes the metal and the graphite parts. AFAIK the belts are the same Kyosho ones. Ralph won with a stock belt (not the SP) but had a custom made aluminum belt tensioner/bearing block that seemed to work very well.
I bumped up two mains but my belt failed in the 3rd and I was done. I went from 12th to 4th place quickly and the Evolva was just getting better and better but that darn belt<grrr> Oh well, it was fun while it lasted

The belts on my car are different from the ones on my friend's Evolva. They don't have Kyosho written on them and they seem to be made out of a better material than even the SP belts from Kyosho.

Belts
I've been told that the *newest* (as haywyre indicated above) belts from Delta are huge improvements over the Evolva kit & SP belts. Hopefully, the postman will drop mine off tomorrow. So, if you're an Evolva owner, and are tired of chewing up a belt or two per weekend, then you may want to try a set of the new Delta belts.

I'll get a chance to see this car on the 28th & 29th at a Can Am Challenge taking place in Hamilton, Ontario. From what I hear on the club's board there will be lots of Serpents, a few Mugens, a Neo or two, an Evolva, and two Deltas. Should be fun to watch them all go head to head. It will also be my first try at 1/8 with my recently purchased serpent 950.

Availability
It's been a month since I tried to get one but the hobby shop can't seem to get a hold of the XP4 kit. Seems Delta does not have enough parts in stock to build the kits. I wanted to find out first hand what is really different between the XP4 and the Evolva, but now I may just get the Evolva. Even the new MRX-4 is at the hobby shop, but I already have an MRX-3 and I want to try something else. So there goes a sale of an XP4.
