why dont you remove the 2 spurs from the 2sp shaft and try again to see if it rolls backwards. Its about 2 minites work.

So what if it wont roll back, the car drivers forward, not in reverse.

Had that problem before it's the one-way in your two-speed. replace if cleaning & oiling don't work.

With car on the ground, and thumb on the gears, You should be able to roll the car backward. Thumb on gears, you should be able to roll the wheels forward. That will tell you your drive are ok. Also tells you the one-way cluych is good. Clutch may not engaging.

even if the one-way bearing is bad, this wont stop the car from rolling backwards.

most likely your 2nd speed clutch is engaged.

Basically if you grab the gears and roll the car backwards it should feel hard like it doesn't want to go because the one way bearing is locked onto the collar/shaft of the spur gears. If it rolls freely backwards when you grab the gears then the one way bearing is not grabbing and the car will not function properly.

Another easy way to check is to manually push the spur gears and the car should roll. If it does not then there is a problem. My car was like this (Kyosho V-One RRR WC) and needed a couple small parts and about 5min of work to get back up.
