Hi people I have a Kyosho Evolva M3 and I'm having problems setting the throttle with the brakes.when thr car is in neutral I can push freely bur then the brakes don't reli brake that well.I know it sounds like I need to tighten brakres but ithen the car will be stiff in neutral,I,e the brakes will come on when I leave the throttle without putting the breaks on.If anyone could help me I would be greatfull

adjust (increase) ATL rate on your transmiter so as to achieve bigger movement of the throttle servo when on brakes. This way you wont have to tighten the brakes so much and at neutral, car will roll freely.

Is the ATL the throttle adjustment on the transmitter.Would this mean the idle would be needed to be set to the transmitter settings ?

yes the ATL setting is on the transmiter. Idle wont needed to readjusted. What it does is increasing the backwards movement of your throtle servo. One other
way to do it is increase the EPA (End-Point Adjustment) of throtle servo, on brake direction. Its pretty easy, just read the manual of your trasmitter. Btw, which radio do u have?

At the moment I have a basic futaba 2pl I know its not the best radio I want a Spektrum dx3r.

i think that 2pl doesnt have a ATL function, so just increase EPA on brake direction step by step until you are satisfied with your brakes.

btw, on a 1/8 car you normally dont need instant braking because brakes apply on the rear wheels only. Experienced 1/8 drivers can tell you more..

i think what you need to do is adjust the throttle trim so breaks aren't engaged when in neutral and then adjust the linkage for the throttle so it remains at smallest opening when at neutral.
