Sweep 40's and 45's were the tire of choice for the Airtronics grand prix this past weekend. A bad plug took me out while running 3rd, but what a great time. Congrats to Sweep driver Andy Liu for the win on Sweeps. The 40 exp tire had me very hooked up in the main. Can't wait to get the nitro season started here . It was snowing when I got back from L.A. Yuck.

Thanks Bill. It was nice to see my teammates again! Extra shout out to my teammate Mark for the tire support during the 3rd qualifier. The track temp during the main was about 115 F. So I decided to run 45s EXP all around and for me that was the ticket to capture the win, the tire wears were very consistent. The P1L body worked flawlessly!!! Excellent mold quality plus the corner speed and the stability on the straight provided me with consistent traction as well, great body for our GT cars. Here are few clips from the Airtronic Grand Prix over the weekend:

Great race. Glad everyone came out and ran the GT class. 40 EXP tires were the ticket and gave me the TQ position. For the warmer weather, I went with the 50 EXP tires on the front on a normal wheel with full white insert and 45 EXP on the rear with a ROK wheel and full white insert. Car was really good. Andy and I were definitely battling at the beginning, but a mechanical failure kept me from finishing. The Sweep tires were definitely the tire of choice at the Greater LA track!

OK, I hope some one can give me a tire recommendation.
I just bought a 1/8 scale Kyosho Inferno GT2 electric, for parking lot playing.
The air temps. will be about 75/80 Fahrenheit.
I got 4 wheels comming in the mail.
What should I buy?

If your just playing around , go with 55 shore sweeps or Alpha harder compound to last longer.

No sweat have fun, also harder shores allow you to drift better.

Well, the tires that the car came with lets you drift real good.
That is what I was kinda not wanting to do.

If you are looking for good tire life and good traction the EXP 50s would be a solid choice. You will have good wear and not really have to worry about over heating them. If you are looking for more traction the ideal tire for long running in your temp range would be the 45 exp. Be warned once you get the car working racing soon follows! You could also try the treaded Sweeps they work well on rough surfaces and have a more scale look. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Right on! Those should work very well for what you are doing. Heck I've even been know to put these on the track!
