Interesting to see Pietsch use a Protoform body.

On the 24th June, it was announced on RED that he will use Blitz bodies. Click here

It seems loyality gets thrown out the window if another product is faster.

Yeah and at this point I think he has reset the day time track record twice using Contact tires...

Fort Myres, track is off the chain! Ran there last weekend. Track was 155 degs. lap times where respectable given the track had not been run on in like 2 months and tire wear is incredibley low. Are you going to "The BIG K" for the beat the heat deal??

If someone who is fluent in Italian can read what is written in the website www.modellismoinpista.com as to my understanding he is trying both Contact tires and HotRace tires, both of which gave him enough performance to set similar laptimes.
15.169 Contact tires
15.182 HotRace tires

He later on set an even faster lap record at 15.155 but no clue on which tires.
Overall he has shown good and consistant pace, although Balestri came within 0.775 sec after a full 7 minutes run.
Results here: http://www.modellismoinpista.com/xra...0702174622.pdf

Rain is expected at some point tomorrow which could mix things up a bit.

Information is available at www.modellismoinpista.com
You may click on the camera icon and a new page will open where live timing and streaming is available. By clicking on the right of the live streaming on the icons you may get the results.
The track is a speed bowl.. lap record is held by Robert Pietsch so far at 15.155 and he averaged 78km/h that's almost 49mph! Top speed is not mentioned.

Another link with photos and info is from Serpent's blog, www.teamserpent.com

Well, I can imagine getting the title with the new own designed car is more important than using a piece of plastic promoting a sponsor....

But it seems the Zytec era is over, all 3 on podium had a P909

The Zytec era ended here in the states the day the 909 came out. For once, it's the Europeans that were behind on the times.
