Good job Robert well deserved win. 3 tq'd in a row he is fast. That lab car might be the best looking onroad car on the market.

Too bad about the rain, I think Dario really had the pace to win it in the last couple of laps.
But still an amazing debut for a month old car, fastest laps of the race.
Also congratulations to Pietsch, must be the best feeling to be world champion with a car you designed.

Having watched the coverage live, and just now looking at the time/results etc, I don't think Balestri had enough pace towards the end to catch Pietsch, that second tyre change just cost him too much time, he was near a full lap behind.
In fact looking at the times just now, Fukuda looks like maybe he could have caught Belestri, and I remember him looking very fast shortly before the rain stopped things, but then all that assumes zero real mistakes, and it was all so close, so even one minor slip and it could have been a different result, but everyone was looking so good.
Good on Pietsch though, winning with a car he designed, and some of the 1/4 results were heart breaking, could also have been different with some of those results.

Race was called prematurely, rain wasn't too heavy or too long, it ended about 5 minutes after the race was called.....too bad, results would have been totally different if they would have ran it out.

Incredible win for Peitsch !! Stood at the end of pit road and watched.
Dario was by far the fastest car, also quickest to wear out his tires. He was planning on doing two pit stops to change tires and he was pitting on a 4:30 fuel stop.
Peitsch was on a one tire change strategy and he was pitting at 4:45 -5:00 fuel stop.
Dario was going to pit for fuel 2 more times than Peitsch and one tire stop more.
Peitsch had Dario covered.

Congrates to Paul Lemieux...the lone USA team driver. I've had the pleasure of watching Paul grow up. He has always been a good guy.... and he has grown in to one of the best pure r/c racers I know...still one of the nicest factory guys you'll ever meet. I've been around for a long time and seen many races in my day. He will be back. Congrates to Paul and everyone that was there to help. Good job dude!!

UPDATE: Following a very long delay in the issuing of the final result there has been a change for second with Fukuda taking the runners up spot and Balestri dropping to 3rd. We understanding the change is due to one lap count back from the time at which the race was actually stopped. As this official result had to be created manually the result was not available for almost two hours after the race.
