Parts on the Impulse is actactly the same as the Impact. Only differance are the drives for the wheels, & diffs. Other are the same.

Cars were retired 8 years ago. Rebiultthe Mega motors, centax clutch & 2-speed were rebiult also. Never ran since. Cars ran at Crystal Park, Revelation, and Sun Valley every 2 weeks in LA. All classes they were dependable and fun.

thats a pretty keen looking box. It wouldn't surprise me if it was custom made or modified by a racer in his garage. quite possibly, by the looks of those hinges and cherry pop-rivets.

Sorry for hijacking your thread. The box was very well made. The tower was made to hold the battery and the on/off switch was a heavy duty push button located under the aluminum plate in the front. Unfortunately I sold it alond with a couple of RC500's earlier this year to some gentleman in Germany. By the way, I'll opst some internal pics of the S-power as soon as I locate my magic screw driver .

No problem! I love seeing this stuff. If only we had our own vintage forum.

Thumbs up Serpent,

Wow, classy Serpents those are nice and the old Lolas too to boot! Great pictures you posted here and I have been a long time lover of those.

I have three types of Impact-2's I got one 2WD and two 4WD models and these I have all had since late 1989 and one I have only driven 3 times! Later on maybe I will post images of them in my own thread, but thank you for sharing these vintage models, -Gregory

Are you sure on that year?? 10th 235mm cars were experimental in '99 I think The class didn't last long. Serpent 835 was discontinued I think in 2004-5. Good car if you're running .15 Mega MS EVO3.

As far as i know, there was an impact that was a budget oriented RTR. It looks like it was based on the 6000 serie cars. so probably early 1990's. There were other 235mm cars like (my favorite) BMT 931, picco RS600 compact, mugen avance that were around.

i really love 235mm cars! sadly they are no more

Man!! I cant e4ven remember Serpent had a RTR!! When the class was hot. Serpent Impact M2 and Ron Paris Picco Integra were fighting it out. Impact dominate I think 4 years in a row. By now you probably think I'm a serpent freak. Been a freak since the Quattro. Havent had anything else since!!! Quattro, Impulse, Impact, Vector. 955, Electrics S400 and S120. Vetec only out for about a year. Think it was Serpents Ford Edsel!!! Still kind of early to invest in the new 955e. I'll wait to see it in races.

I would post photos but I have trouble with IMG'ing on the thread.

Yes sir I am 100% honest I have had all three of these since way back in the day! However one of them was purchased late 1989, the other two were bought in maybe mid 1990.

Kyosho had a super-10 series of cars some gas some electric, well this is meaningless except for the fact that I bought up the last stock from Tower Hobbies of the oversize 1/10th scale bodies...

1) 300ZX
2) 911 slant
3) 911 regular
4) testarossa

I actually have many of these bodies because I bought the whole left over stock, three are on my Serpents.

*Off-topiC*
HOWEVER I ACTUALLY HAVE (2) COMPLETE BNIB KITS NOT ASSEMBLED OF THE KYOSHO FERARRI TESTATROSSA!!!!!

But when I get enough posts to post pictures I will let YOU sir know, -Gregory

5) countach (I left this one out)
